Investigation & Mediation Areas

At EEOGators, we provide detailed investigation reports following witness interviews, credibility determination, factual and document review and analysis.  


First, complete our one-page intake form.


Second, we execute a simple contract/agreement. 


Third, for investigations, our work begins with interviewing witnesses and preparing a report.  For mediations, our work begins with reviewing the complaint or information about the case, reading briefs and having a discussion with each side.

We have been working for 19 years in the practice areas of employment, wage and hour law, civil rights law and personal injury with a specialized focus on sex, gender and sex orientation.   Investigations and mediations completed by EEOGators typically involve our niche practice areas of sex (including pregnancy/reproductive rights), gender, gender identity or sex orientation.

Melanie D. Popper, Attorney

Ms. Popper is an attorney member of the Association of Workplace Investigators, a graduate of UC Hastings law school in San Francisco (2003), Dartmouth College in New Hampshire (1999) and the Norman Manley Law School in Kingston, Jamaica (2013). She has practiced for 19 years with most of those years devoted to plaintiff-side litigation in the areas of employment law, wage and hour law, civil rights and personal injury. She also has substantial experience on the defense-side advising the City of Berkeley as Employee Relations Manager and as a defense-side litigator on behalf of companies and public entities in state and federal courts.  Ms. Popper is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators, the National Lawyers Guild, the Dartmouth Lawyers Association and has been a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association.
